All About Shayla
Originally from Iowa, USA, Shayla Tharp earned her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from California State University of Northridge. After five fabulous years in Los Angeles, where she juggled roles on stage, extra work, and working as the right-hand woman to Emmy Award-winner Kristen Johnston, Shayla made her way over to London to get her MFA in Acting from the University of Essex, East 15.
Fast forward to 2023 with her debut in the West End production of "Tony N Tina's Wedding", and a scene-stealing performance in the feature film "Burnt Flowers" (2024), by cult director Michael Fausti. She also works full-time as a voice-over artist and can be heard in features on Audible, PocketFM, Spotify, and the Headfone app. Alongside voice-over work she has also created her own podcast called Having A Laugh, which you can check out on the Listen page.
